Type Locality and Naming

In the Gazdagan gorge, southwest Gissar. M.R. Jalilov, 1968 (190, p.43). Stratotype on the southern slope of the Gazdagan gorge. Lowermost formation in Газдаганинская св.

Lithology and Thickness

At the bottom, dark gray clays with rare interlayers of limestones (thickness 25-80m); at the top - gray, ferruginous clays (thickness 3-35m).

Lower contact

It lies conformably on the Tagarin Fm (widespread) or Akmechet Fm (South Gissar)

Upper contact

It is conformably overlain by the Talhab Fm (or Chashmaobzan Fm).
